Position: Coating Inspector
Location: Barry, South Wales
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 10 weeks
Shifts: Approx 45hrs/week Mon-Fri
PAYE Pay Rates: £Negotiable, dependant on location and experience
The Role:
Our client are currently recruiting for an ICorr Level 2 Coatings Inspector for a 10 week contract. The work will be based from Barry, South Wales and will involve monitoring and reporting on the quality standards of the application of coatings and surface treatments. Duties will include:
Perform daily coating inspections and testing in accordance with the guidance specified in the relative Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and recording results
Monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards with procedures that regulate the preparation and application of coatings and surface treatments.
Reviewing and understanding various client specifications
Understanding corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety.
Completing inspection documents on computer
Ensuring inspection and test equipment is serviceable before use
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience as a coating inspector.
Coatings industry experience that includes a coatings inspection associated with a large project
ISO:9001 quality systems awareness
Construction health and safety awareness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
