Hours: 8:30-4:30pm Mon-Fri
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + overtime + pension

 

The Role:

 

Our client is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their expending team. The role will involve will include producing 3D and detailed designs for the water treatment, power generation, quarries and cement industries. Duties will include:

 

  • Using AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Advance Steel

  • Producing G.A. and Detail Drawings utilising the software packages.

  • Design & selection of equipment

  • Issue of Bills of Materials to Works for manufacture

  • New product design and prototype testing

  • Site surveying using our surveying equipment

  • Attendance of internal pre-let meetings

  • Manage own workload to ensure designs are completed in a timely fashion

  • The candidate will be expected to work with other members of the engineering team and will have close contact with other engineers in the estimating, design and contracting departments.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree level, HNC or HND qualification in engineering discipline

  • Experience within the design and manufacture industries

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Advance Steel

  • Experience in Navisworks & Vault (but not essential)

  • Produce G.A. and Detail Drawings utilising the software packages

  • Attention to detail

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
