Hours: Approx 40hrs/week, Mon-Fri

Duration: 12 months

The Role:

Our client is currently recruiting for additional Pipe / Mechanical Fitters to join their teams on a major construction project on Hinkley Point C. Their scope of work includes the installation, operations, maintenance and fault finding of utilities systems including the clients potable supply network, water management network, sewerage network and sewage treatment assets

Duties will include:

  • Working from drawings

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of plastic and iron ductile pipework, pumps, valves etc associated with the water management and sewage treatment systems on site

  • Maintaining a level of 100% environmental permit compliance, zero serious pollution incidents, within contractual budgetary controls and with adherence to set KPIs.

  • Managing interfaces with other departments, building relationships and getting fast resolution of any issues

  • The potential of additional emergency call-out work

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical / Pipe Fitting trade

Experience in the water industry

Good process knowledge in water and waste treatment

H&S training and field practice SSSTS/IOSH, CSCS, Confined Spaces

Strong communication and team skills

Ability to manage own workload while maintaining excellent health and safety standards
