Role:Riggers
Location:Tilbury
Rate:£24.00 per hour (Monday–Friday) / £30.00 per hour (Weekend)
Duration:12 months
We are currently recruiting experienced Riggers to support steel erection and lifting operations on a major project in Tilbury. The role will involve preparing loads, attaching lifting gear and coordinating safe crane movements across the site.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out rigging and lifting operations in accordance with lift plans and site procedures
- Attaching loads using chains, slings, shackles and lifting accessories
- Acting as Slinger/Signaller, directing crane operators during lifting operations
- Ensuring loads are balanced, secure and safe prior to lifting
- Guiding loads into position using tag lines and hand signals
- Assisting steel erection teams with positioning structural steel during installation
- Inspecting lifting equipment and reporting any damage or defects
- Working closely with crane operators, supervisors and steel teams to ensure safe and efficient lifts
- Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to site health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card
- Slinger / Signaller certification
- IPAF licence preferred
- Experience working on construction or industrial sites
- Strong awareness of lifting safety and site procedures
