The Role:

Steel erection on a new build recycling plant must be local as based in Nottingham.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Erector to join our client for the construction of a new recycling plant. You will be responsible for the precise and safe erection of structural steel components on the project site. You will work closely with a team of construction professionals to ensure that the steel structures are erected efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate installation methods for structural steel components.

  • Organize and coordinate the assembly and erection of steel structures according to project schedules and deadlines.

  • Operate various hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and welding equipment, to fabricate and install steel components.

  • Rig, lift, and position steel beams, columns, and other structural elements using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment.

  • Ensure the alignment, levelness, and stability of steel structures during the erection process.

  • Weld and bolt steel components together according to project requirements and industry standards.

  • Perform quality inspections to verify the integrity and strength of erected steel structures.

Requirements:

  • IPAF 

  • IPAF + ( Preferred )

  • CSCS

  • Previous work as Steel Erector  

  • Able to use machines

  • Have your own tools.

  • Own PPE ( Pref orange work wear )
